Marius: (faintly) I'm getting better!
Valjean: No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a moment.
Javert: I can't take him like that, Valjean. It's against regulations.

"Yes! Through our persistent efforts, strong harmonies, and flashy turntable, we have at last driven off the efforts of the encroaching Lion King! Broadway is ours!"

Marius: "Gee, 'Ponine, what are we going to do tonight?"
Eponine: "Same thing we do every night, Marius: try and take over the world!"

Patron-Minette: "They're Gamine and The Dolt
Yes, Gamine and the Dolt
One is a criminal,
The other's an oaf.
Their home's in Paris
They're filled with misery,
They're obscene
They're Gamine and The Dolt, Dolt, Dolt, Dolt
Dolt, Dolt, Dolt, Dolt
Dolt.

Before each night is done
Their plan will be unfurled
By the dawning of the sun
They'll take over the world.

They're Gamine and The Dolt
Yes, Gamine and The Dolt
Their twilight campaign
Is easy to explain.
To prove their musical worth
They'll overthrow the Earth

They're obscene
They're Gamine and The Dolt, Dolt, Dolt, Dolt
Dolt, Dolt, Dolt, Dolt-"

Marius: "Narf!"

I've just started watching it recently, on YouTube. I wonder if the episode "Broadway Malady" has a reference to "On My Own"...

I love how everything is on YouTube now...it's so amusing = )

And you know what's really funny? One of the little side-series-type-things that airs with Pinky and the Brain (don't remember what it's called) had a musical episode called "Les Miseranimals", which of course was entirely a spoof of the Les Mis we all know and love XD

As far as I know, Pinky and the Brain was spun off from Animaniacs. I couldn't find "Les Miseranimals" on YouTube (only its lyrics (http://members.cruzio.com/~keeper/02.html#3) and a review (http://www.hyperborea.org/les-mis/lmisanim.html) elsewhere), or the other musical parodies in Animaniacs, but I could find "Mouse of La Mancha". 8-)

That's righttttt, I forgot they were all a part of Animaniacs!! Good memories = )

And thank you for those links! From what I remember of that episode, it was quite amusing! haha.

I barely remember seeing Animaniacs on TV, I'm only looking things up online now. I've finally found the first 25 episodes on http://www.tv-links.co.uk , and "Les Miseranimals" is in the 11th. (Do you think we should make a new post about this?) BTW, about [livejournal.com profile] spurnedambition's song: I think it wasn't Pinky but Elmyra whom Brain called "the oaf", but I've never seen that series. 8-)
