Oh, I am wretchedly bored.

Which parts of the musical/book are the most moving or tragic to you? If I had to pick three . . . hm, this is difficult.
- Valjean's death. ". . . and the light from the candlesticks fell upon his face." Seriously, that makes me sob every time. It's just such a beautiful and perfect ending to an epic story.
- When M. Mabeuf is forced to sell his last, favorite book. I love that man.
- Javert's death. This is probably my favorite part of the story, my favorite song, my favorite chapter. I love the way he kills himself almost completely devoid of emotion: he does it exactly as he lived, with resolution and rigidity.
Do tell me your thoughts. I'm rather curious.
